No es demasiado tarde para ser parte del proceso de Educación Religiosa de Adultos
Nuestro Rito de Iniciación Cristiana de Adultos (RICA) o Educación Religiosa de Adultos (ERA) es el proceso y exploración para convertirse en católico/a. O si usted solo necesita su sacramento de Bautismo, de Confirmación o de Primera Comunión, o si necesita recibir los tres sacramentos, este curso (clases) es el primer paso a seguir.
Si usted es fluente en Ingles, las clases son los Domingos a las 10 de la mañana en el nuevo Centro "Juan Pablo Segundo".
Si habla español, las clases son todos los Jueves, a las 7 de la noche, en el Centro "Monseñor Healy (antiguo hall). Para más información puede llamar a la Oficina hispana, al 744-8216.
Inscripciones para Educación Religiosa y programas para jovenes
Estudiantes nuevos o que regresan deben llenar una forma de registración para mantener nuestro registros al día. Todos los grados de escuela (School & high school) y escuela secundaria son formularios de inscripción aceptados. El programa litúrgico pre-escolar "Seeds" (Semillas) para niños y niñas de 4 y 5 años de edad, empezará el 28 de Septiembre.
¡Se necesitan Catequistas y Asistentes!
¿Le está llamando Dios?Adultos que sean firmes en su fe y estén dispuestos a usar sus talentos para asistir a Dios, enseñando a niños o a adolescentes, o ayudando en la preparación para los sacramentos, por favor, ofrézcase a Dios en oración, y después de un discernimiento, llame a la Oficina parroquial tan pronto como le sea posible.
Servir en la Mesa del Señor
Los niños y las niñas feligreses de nuestra parroquia que estén cursando el 5to. grado o mayor y que hayan recibido la Primera Comunión, califican para ser Servidores del Altar. Las sesiones de entrenamiento son los Domingos de 3:30 PM a 5:30 PM en la Iglesia.Si desea convertirse en Servidor/a del Altar, venga a la Iglesia el Domingo 21 de Septiembre, a la primera reunión. Los padres de familia deben asistir a esta primera sesión. No es necesario registrarse antes. Solo necesitan venir a esta primera sesión.

Classes for all age groups meet weekly during the school year to teach the Catholic faith in a systematic way. All children who do not attend a Catholic school should be enrolled in religious education classes, even when not preparing for a Sacrament.

At the heart of catechesis we find, in essence, a Person, the Person of Jesus of Nazareth, "the only Son from the Father...full of grace and truth,"(Jn. 1:14) who suffered and died for us and who now, after rising, is living with us forever. It is Jesus who is "the way, and the truth, and the life,"(Jn. 14:6) and Christian living consists in following Christ…

The Legion of Mary at St. Mark's |

The Legion of Mary has been an active group and part of our parish for the past 32 years. The Legion welcomes new active or auxiliary members. Active members attend weekly meetings and perform two hours of apostolic work, such as, visiting the homebound and patients in local hospitals and nursing homes.
Auxiliary members pray the rosary and Ligion prayers daily.
At St. Mark's the weekly meetings are at 9AM on Wednesday mornings in the John Paul II Center, Room 121.

We share a warm welcome to John Prust our new Pastoral Assistant here at St. Mark’s Parish. Originally from Wisconsin, John came to us most recently from Boston, Massachusetts, where he graduated from Boston College with a Master of Divinity degree. Just a few weeks ago, John was married to Lauren, a Southern California native. John looks forward to meeting more of you and getting as he gets to know our parish community!
 Joseph Cunningham has joined our staff as our our new Coordinator of Youth Ministry. He is coming to us after spending last year teaching at a Catholic junior high school and doing Confirmation Catechesis at St. Margaret's in Oceanside. Prior to this, he studied philosophy and theology at Thomas Aquinas College and the International Theological Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family. He and his wife Danniel both love to do missionary work and are very happy to be here at St. Mark's.
Welcome to our St. Mark's Community to both men as they join our staff!

 We were so blessed to have our annual visit from the African sisters of the Daughters of Mary and Joseph. We are thankful as they visit and participate in our Vacation Bible School.
The gifts we share are returned to their homeland and bring many blessings to the children and those in need in Africa. Sister Rosemary and Sister Priscilla thank the parish for sharing of their gifts with their outreach program in Africa.
