METANOIA
Sundays 6:00 - 8:00pm, Healy Hall Metanoia is our high school youth group here at St. Mark's. The word metanoia is a Greek word meaning "conversion", and when used in the Christian context means "a fundamental change of mind and heart by which one turns away from old and sinful ways in order to turn toward the lifestyle and moral values advocated by the Christian community," (The New Concise Catholic Dictionary). Jesus' call to all of us is one of repentance and conversion, as the word metanoia suggests, and that is our mission at youth group. All high school youth (both Catholics and non-Catholics) are welcome to come meet new people, pray, learn more and grow closer to God, and have some good ol' fun! One Sunday a month before Metanoia we will meet to pray the Rosary together at 5:45pm. Please join us!
TEAM JESUS Bi-Monthly meetings Team Jesus is the name for our Servant Leadership Team. It is made up of high school youth and adult volunteers who have demonstrated an ability to be leaders in the youth ministry program, and who desire to serve others here in the church. Team Jesus meets once a month and helps brainstorm ideas and plan our Metanoia youth group nights, community service, road trips, and fundraisers - really anything and everything that goes on within youth ministry at St. Mark's. If any adults or youth are interested in being a part of team Jesus please talk to Jamie. |
