"Recall then that you have received the spiritual seal, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of right just and courage, the spirit of knowledge and reverence, the spirit of holy fear in God's presence. Guard what you have received. God the Father has marked you with his sign; Christ the Lord has confirmed you and has placed his pledge, the Spirit, in your hearts." - St. Ambrose CHARACTER CONFIRMED -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Congratulations to the 177 young people
who were confirmed here at St. Mark's!
May the Holy Spirit guide you until the
end of your days!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Confirmation at St. Mark's The Confirmation program here at St. Mark's is a two-year program for high school students. A teenager can begin his or her preparation at any time once in high school, however usually it begins when the teen enters into the 9th grade.
Preparation to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation consists of weekly classes held on Monday evenings throughout the school year, a demonstrated commitment to community service, and a retreat in November of To better accomodate each individual's schedule we offer three different class times on Monday evenings: 4:15 - 5:30pm, 6:30 - 7:45pm, & 8:05 - 9:15pm. There is no guarantee however that one will be placed in his or her preferred class time, as each class is limited to 30 students. The cost is $55 per student each year, however if there are two students enrolled from the same family it is $100 total, or $130 for 3 students from the same family. Cost will not be an inhibiting factor for anyone wishing to participate in the Confirmation program, and if money is a problem please come talk with us and we can work something out.
