Serra International is a global organization with over 21,000 members in 36 countries. Serra is named after Father Junipero Serra (1713-1784), the Spanish Franciscan, who founded missions in Mexico and the first nine of the twenty-one California missions.
Objectives and Purpose:
- to foster vocations to the ministerial priesthood and religious life.
- encourage present priests, seminarians and vowed religious to persevere in their vocations.
The Serra Club of San Diego North County meets monthly at St. Mar’s with Mass, luncheon and appropriate speakers.
